Marine 20-Hour First Service

The most important service that you should do on your inboard/outboard, outboard motor, ATV's and Side by Side vehicles.

The first service on all Inboard Outboard powered boats includes; Change engine oil and filter. Drain and fill outdrive gear oil & lubricate prop shaft. We remove the outdrive; check & grease the drive shaft U-joints, check & adjust the engine alignment. We run the engine to operating temperature and make sure all systems are operating correctly, check or adjust timing, check or adjust carburetors or throttle bodies. Check all bets and hoses as well as a series of visual inspections.

The first service on your Outboard Motor includes; Change engine oil and filter. Drain & fill gearcase gear oil & lubricate prop shaft. Adjust throttle and shift linkages, grease swivel & complete visual inspection of systems. We then run the engine to operating temperature to check the operation & make any adjustments needed. We hook the engine to the diagnostic computer to scan for codes & record the running history. In some cases the motor has to manually be taken out of brake in mode.

ATV's & Side by Side vehicles need to be serviced at 20 hours. We change the engine oil & filter. In some cases there is a separate transmission oil and filter that also needs to be replaced at 20 hours. Drain and fill front and rear final drives.
